Does it contain caffeine?
It does. with around half the amount of coffee per 25ml shot as what a 40ml espresso contains, They are very similar in caffeine levels. We wanted GROUNDED to be as close to drinking fresh coffee but with alcohol as possible. If you are sensitive to caffeine, watch this space as a decaf version will be coming in 2025
Are you gluten free?
Yes, you may see that we use 100% British Wheat Vodka as our base but during distillation, all gluten compounds are removed. This is why distilled spirits are safe to drink for customers with gluten allergies.
Are you Vegan?
Yes! As you may be aware, some traditional coffee liqueurs aren’t vegan due to the sugar they use. Our sugar is unprocessed and unbleached meaning it is 100% vegan. We also use no animal byproducts during filtration.
What is your ABV?
Again, unlike more traditional coffee liqueurs on the market, we are a little higher in ABV and we sit at 24%. This was a conscious decision, the higher ABV allows for a better coffee extraction as well as standing its ground in cocktails.
Its not as syrupy and thick as other brands, why is this?
This is done by design. We really wanted to showcase the amazing coffee we use and show off the abilities of our roasting team. We only have 120g of sugar per litre, this allows enough sweetness to compliment and not overpower the coffee. Why hide something we are extremely proud of with sweetness?
There is sediment in my bottle, is this normal and safe?
YES! As we blend in a cold brew extraction method, there is elements of the coffee that squeezes through in the filtration process. We looked at extremely fine filtering under pressure but the body and depth of the coffee was lost. Its totally harmless and allows the coffee liqueur to be true to its name!
Can we use Grounded as a substitute for fresh coffee in coffee based drinks?
Oh yes! Its absolutely amazing in an ice latte instead of fresh coffee and works amazing with grapefruit tonic as a riff on a cold brew and tonic! Its also a really good additive in Liqueur coffees as it adds just the right amount of sweetness and doesn’t over power the coffee.
We would recommend pairing it with Northumberland Coffee beans to allow the liqueur to perfectly compliment the coffee.

Amy Cook - Amy is one of the driving forces behind the roasting of the coffee. Everything is meticulously done and roasted to perfection. Having the ability to create her own roast profiles allows for the coffee to be perfect for every batch.
Chris Green - Chris is the face behind the production! Originally his project that we all saw come to life. Chris has over 17 years working with drinks and behind the bar. He’s an award winning mixologist and the pallet behind Grounded. Nothing leaves the door unless he is happy with it and has signed off.
Ryan Jones - Ryan is the other half of the team behind our coffee. You can normally find Ryan in amongst customers with his infectious personality and flirting his way in to sales! He brings the vibes no matter the weather!
Becca Green - Becca is the firm hand pushing Chris but also the one that keeps him in check! Amazing with customers, great with the product (both selling and drinking) and looks after the back of house. Having a background in musical theatre and beauty allows Becca to naturally connect with customers at tastings, pop ups and events.
